If this is a direct result of something you've done, Caesar...
When you come back, I will make you pay for making me think about Silverberg martyrs again.

Everyone, please don't do anything rash.
Now more than ever, we need to be united in our information resources and our planning. I'm already hearing the din of chaos around me; people are panicking.
Yes, the sky has gone red.
Yes, residents may in fact have their powers back.
...Yes, the Filial wings are still there.
Professor Raine. Vyse. Watari. Mark. General Sephiroth.
Anyone who is thinking enough not to run off recklessly.
We meet to hold a meeting. Now.
I will be in the schoolhouse. Please respond with what you've seen and what you can offer in terms of assistance.
[ooc: ...For the sake of my sanity, the meeting isn't going to actually happen separately from this entry. Hopefully I can be coherent enough to come up with more plans.]

Not even a dozen able-bodied men yet. Those fools who are going off on their own may do us a service by running into any traps out there ahead of us.
[Voice - private]
Perhaps so.
Hm. I can probably get the others from my world involved. Lloyd, Kratos, Sheena... Yuan may come around on his own, as well. Then there Vyse, and I'm certain that he would look to this as an opportunity for the Blue Rogues... I presume most people are still in shock, at the changes.
[Voice - private]
Yes, I expect several from your world to offer their support as well; I am keeping to hard numbers on the roster for organization's sake. The Blue Rogues will probably need supervision; as well-meaning as they are, Vyse's group seems to lack ... [pause
for dramatic effect] ... maturity.[Voice - private]
... I've noticed. Still, it's better than nothing, and we have to use what we can. What concerns me is the number of people who will need to stay behind -- regardless of what we discover, there are still situations here that need to be attended to, and some may only be waiting for this opportunity to torment the other villagers while we make preparations.

That leaves 50% of the population with the task of balancing defending the village and setting forth towards the barrier. Of that 50%, it is likely only 20% are at such a level that they could be considered a "soldier" in any form.
[Voice - private]
It's all a matter of division. Perhaps a leader for the individual groups can be chosen, just to further keep things in some semblance of order.
[Voice - private]
General Sephiroth is already out observing the barrier -- or the lack thereof. I would hope to place him in charge since he will have experience with leading at least a small battalion. Cloud Strife has already volunteered to remain behind to help defend the village, so it would not be a stretch to have him in charge of defenses.
Logic dictates that I remain in the village during the campaign.
[Voice - private]
... Lack thereof? What do you mean?
Hm. I suppose logically, if you are coordinating everything, it would be best if you remained somewhere available, rather than on the front lines with the rest of us, so to speak.
[Voice - private]
The journals provide excellent methods of communication, despite the obvious wariness of using it for sensitive information. That in itself makes it difficult to decide whether to remain far away from the exploring parties, as I will have to communicate more with them than the defensive unit.
[Voice - private]
There isn't much time to decide. I know for certain that I will be going; I can heal and there is information to gather. Perhaps after initial progress is made, you may end up joining us, regardless. Mark is certainly staying behind, so it is likely that he can aid in the function of recording details. Logically or not, it seems a waste to have you completely uninvolved, when this was an opportunity we had been preparing for.
[Voice - private]
Yes, I agree on all accounts. Once I have discussed further with Mark, we will see how much flexibility I have on leaving the village to gather information.
Another item to be researched just occurred to me. Namely, whether the Luceti spirits will be active beyond the barrier. There's no telling whether anything beyond the mountains are part of the same world or not. That will definitely have to be found out.
[Voice - private]
Understood. In the meantime, we need to focus on what we have to work with now, and figuring out just how soon we can get started.
Yes, indeed. I will be sure to have that tested, once we arrive there.
