[Albert is most definitely looking for the clothes he had before as a child; he wasn't really dressed for cold weather. Unfortunately, he's discovering that nothing an 8-year-old would wear will fit a 13-year-old.]

[He simply raises a brow and prepares to shut his journal.]

[There is the sound of papers shuffling of papers that can be heard as Raine starts to shut her journal, though it never actually gets closed, as there is the sound of something thudding on the ground, and a soft gasp.]

[Albert pauses when he hears that sound, flipping his journal open all the way again.]

Professor? Did something drop?

[The voice that he hears next sounds quite a bit higher than the Professor's usual voice. She's probably not in view on the journal camera either.]

... what? W-what is this place? There are so many papers...

[He's contemplating what to do. He needs to get out to Sheena, but he also shouldn't leave Raine alone. His fingers tap on the open journal pages as he thinks.

He carries his journal and hurries for the front door. He speaks into the journal.]

Excuse me, are you okay?

A-aah, who said that...?

Do you see a book nearby, laying open? My voice is coming from it.

Um... Oh, it's coming from up there, on the desk.

[A pause, the sound of shuffling, as she gets to her feet]

This is a communication device, isn't it...?

That's correct. It's a sort of ... magical book, if you will. [He still has no idea what to really define the journal system as, since the Malnosso seem more technological than magical in nature. The journals could very well be a mixture of magic no one could understand and technology.]

[Albert keeps speaking even as he carefully shuts the front door and heads towards the stable.]

I'm afraid I'm in a similar predicament. I have to get a shirt and jacket, and then see to a sick friend. [He pauses only briefly before "friend."]

Try to keep warm in the mean time. I wouldn't recommend exploring in this weather; if you look out your window, you will see it's snowing out.

Won't whoever lives here come back? I'm still a little confused about how I got here, exactly. I... don't remember being brought here. Were you here longer...?

You're actually in my house, in a roommate's room. She isn't in right now, and the other rooms weren't furnished for someone to sleep in, so you were placed here. [It should probably be disturbing how easily all these lies slip out. But he lies a lot for his advantage.]

As for what I last remember... um. Genis was being really fussy, so I was reading to him... I don't really remember having fallen asleep myself.

Is that so...? [There might be a short laugh; it covers the clomping of hooves on a flat rock.] I never remember when I fall asleep.
