Earlier? [It takes him a moment to realize what he's talking about. He hadn't done anything special earlier today, besides... coming out here, of course.] ...oh. I'm flattered, but I think you give me too much credit!

...Are you being modest? [He seems genuinely amused to hear this.] I never thought I would see that day.

Not at all. [He shakes his head, but there's a smirk in his voice as he speaks.] It's simply that I didn't think of trying to force your hand. I just wanted you to come try this with me.

And you would not take no for an answer. What would you consider that?

Negotiating.

[He shrugs. This answer is legit.]

...Hah. Negotiating usually ends with both parties benefiting from something. I certainly did not benefit from something before we were on our way.

[mydearapple]

But you benefited afterward, didn't you? I think that still counts.

[chikaidestroyer]

You would, to pretend that it was actually negotiating after the fact. Admit it -- you would have found a way to physically drag me along if I did not follow you. Thus forcing my hand.

You just like being right. But I guess I would have dragged you along if I could. If I had any idea how to.

You don't think you have it in you to hit me over the head and drag me through the snow?

It's not that I don't have it in me. It's just that I'm not strong enough to get very far.

[In fact, this is the only reason he didn't try to pull Albert down into the snowdrift with him.]

Is that a fact? Perhaps you should do something to rectify that. [Like chop more firewood.]

Even if I did, you're still bigger than me, and there's not much I can do to fix that.

Th-there's nothing fitting about it, I'm just telling the truth. It's a fact!

I'm afraid I have my doubts, brother. [But all in all, this was a pretty nice day. Ice skating was weird, but it was different, and he'll even forgive Albert for shoving him in the snow.

I'll believe it when I see it. [He knows about Caesar's maybes.] Perhaps you can do that while I help myself to a shower.

Then I guess I might as well. [Since he'll be taking the shower first and everything.] Don't take too long, though, or I just may fall asleep!

Do not worry -- I will be sure to wake you up so you do not spend the entire night a mess.

[It's hard to say that with a straight face. A mess? Really? Once they approach the house, Caesar slows down as he goes up the stairs. Walking wasn't so bad, but having to go up the stairs definitely makes him feel how tired he is.]
