I should be striving to overcome this. [Her gaze flickers down to her hand, and she watches herself make that pattern repeatedly.] Grateful that I can draw breath. I shouldn't... hide away from the frustration.

[As much as she wants to. As much as being out there having a conversation is taking every ounce of her limited willpower.]

Should be striving, yes. But considering where you may be emotionally, too much frustration can be just as demoralizing as hiding away from it.

Either way, I'm... still at a loss, right now. It might be nice to just ... not think about any of this. [But she's always thinking.]

Is there anything you can do that would not require too much thinking?

I realize reading might require too much concentration. Anything else?

... I think the answer to that used to be painting, but given some of my preoccupations... [Her gaze goes to her now stilled hands, as she pulls the palms closed.] That canvas is just another battleground.

Anything visual at all, it seems. [But if one sense was an issue, maybe...] Music? An audio distraction while you attempt a normal routine?

That's... an interesting idea. [She slowly lifts her head to look back up at him as the thought sinks in.] It could be something to fill the silence with. I remember... when Rapunzel used to work at the bakery, the music she would play could sometimes be heard in the flower shop. I don't think I would want anything as loud as that, but... I can't deny it was a motivator.

If you are especially fortunate, there may be something in the stores that can be taken without requesting from the Organization. One of those music players. [It was an idea with potential, at the very least.]

And there are music instruments at the school, correct? [He frowns wryly.] If you get to the point where frustration must be dealt with.

It does, yes. And it's a thought, for ... someday.

[Convincing herself to go out to the item shop just seemed like another one of those far off goals.

Asking is always the hurdle.] Unless... you wouldn't mind terribly to ... check, the next time you have an errand.
