He will return. He was doubtful of it, but I'm sure he will return. How they stabilize his body without the Rune is another matter.

And before long, Albert stops next to a tree. He looks up slightly at a small owl perched on a nearby branch, then points at a hole in the tree slightly above his eye level. The hole is about the size of one of his hands.]

Usagi here would like to see the ... babies.

[Rune clicks his beak a few times in a grumbly manner. Probably was just on food-retrieval duty.]

Albert carefully stands up, supporting Usagi's legs and maneuvering himself so she can look into the hole. The mother owl is awake from all of the excitement going on outside, as is one of the four owlets.]
