In my world, there are four gods that can each be summoned by a special priestess who will appear at some point in history for each country.

When the priestess appears, she's supposed to gather the seven Celestial Warriors--Shichiseishi, whose job it is to protect her and help her summon the god.

So believe it or not, I'm a warrior~. ♥

I see. Celestial warriors... [This is sounding familiar, and not simply because there are other seishi currently in Luceti.] I believe I may have interacted with a 'Shichiseishi,' quite sometime ago. There would be 24 warriors in all?

Chichiri, hm...? I don't know him... We haven't met many of the Suzaku warriors yet, though. Our priestess got sick and we had to send her home to recuperate! That girl is a lot of work to take care of.

What did you do, back on your world?

It sounds like a fair amount of guardians for a single priestess.

I am a war strategist by family trade, though I'm afraid such skills haven't seen much use in Luceti.

Well, each priestess only has seven to herself... You'd be surprised, how hard it is to keep the Priestess of Suzaku alive, though! Three protectors so far and no dedicated enemies, and we nearly lost her at least three times!

...That makes it sound like we aren't very good at what we do, doesn't it?

O-ho, a strategist? That sounds like something Konan could use... Maybe I could get your professional opinion sometime? Our neighbors have been less than welcoming to our last couple of ambassadors...

I suppose it matters how difficult the priestess herself is to protect, too. There are some out there who have an uncanny ability to attract bad situations.

...It sounds like there's a learning curve, at the very least.

The natural question would concern the intentions of your ambassadors, and your kingdom, for that matter.

All we're after is self-preservation. We've been trying to send them peace treaties. But they hang onto our ambassadors... who knows what they do to them... and say we never sent them.

Supposedly they want our land. We do have really nice land.

It sounds like they have intentions for war. Sending spies in to confirm that would be important. Once the government has that information, situations can be arranged that force your neighboring country to make their intentions known. And then public opinion will be on your side.

That makes sense... but what could we do to prevent a war once we know for sure? I mean, public opinion's important, but they have an army.

..And it's bigger than ours.
