Professor Sage is missing -- has been missing since before the Halloween ball. Please keep an eye out for her, and others who went missing during the previous experiment, along with any possible New Feathers who may show up this month.

As a reminder, we have now entered the fourth cycle year as of October 26. Be sure to pick up a new calendar in the welcoming center or library.

Thank you.

[The sun is out, the effects are gone, and people are returning to their normal states. Despite all of that, Albert still finds himself somehow unsteady. Perhaps it has something to do with Rune being unable to find any of his brood. Perhaps it has something to do with the continued lack of presence from Epona's master. Perhaps...

He can be found between his house and community building 7, in the stables and corral he rebuilt with Link. Today he finds himself spending more time with Astrid and Epona, as if that will somehow make up for the fact that they had been left to fend for themselves in the fog. He even has his saddle if he feels like riding. His A tiny owl perches on a nearby fence post, outside for the first time in almost two weeks.

Like so many others, Albert is more than ready to put aside the stress caused by a handful of scientists. So instead, he reminisces over his three years in Luceti.]

[There might be the sound of flicking pages. Journal pages. And then -- the high-powered whiiiiirr of ... a hairdryer. It must have blown the journal to a recording page. Are you envious yet, Lucetians?

Albert had arrived in his Malnosso-furnished quarters earlier and spent some time checking things out, and has been there long enough to relax. Might as well take advantage of what is available before being sent off to battle tomorrow morning, right?

The hairdryer sound goes for awhile before being shut off, though there's still nothing visible to go with all the noise.]

Hn... So they will give all of that...

[There's the soft sound of footsteps on thick carpet and then a buzz as the strategist rings for assistance. Albert's request is muffled by his bath towel.

But there's no mistaken the rumbling vibration of something shaking the walls. Albert opens the door to his previously-empty storage room.

The door is loudly slammed shut.

...

...And the door is opened again.

......]

...There is an owl in my room.

[ooc: Drafted people, feel free to post your initial reactions to your own rooms in this post if you don't want to make your own entries. o/ If you want to interact with other drafted people, just drop a note in your comment or make your character available.]

How disappointing. One would think the Malnosso would compile their willing volunteers instead of taking risks like this.

Albert's also available for action tags. Just notate that it's an action tag in the subject line.]

[It's an early overcast morning in Luceti. Just beyond the makeshift barricades to the east of the village are several tree stumps, reminders of the flurry of activity before the August battle. If anyone happens to be passing by or through the area, they may see a horse and rider moving amongst the tree stumps. It's a well-practice motion now, quickly weaving through the tree stumps. Some of the sounds may be audible over the journal.

There's a pause as Albert brings his horse to a stop. And then a sigh audible over the journal.]
I want something to drink. ...Perhaps tomorrow night.

[Then it's back to practicing.]

Status reports, everyone. Let's try to account for as many as we can.

If you know of any casualties or disappearances, please note them as well. They need to be kept track of in case the Malnosso decided to act while we were ... preoccupied.

Congratulations are in order. We've survived without losing the village. Now it's time to recover and aid the wounded.

If there are still any able bodies available, I would like a sweep of the perimeter done for any signs of the intruders. Feathers, clothing, armor -- if it's available, it must be studied.

...Please also be aware that the New Feather cycle, if it has returned to normal, will occur beginning tomorrow. Explain the situation to the best of your ability. Newcomers need to know that this isn't the usual state of the village.
chikaidestroyer: (Looking out)
In light of the current situation, I would highly recommend that everyone residing outside of the village move into the village ... lest they wish to risk an end like what we have seen.

Blue Rogues, Brave Vesperia, Sir Sigmund. A discussion, if you will. About defenses.

Mitsuru Kirijo, Sir Golbez. I would like to speak with you.

Anyone else who wishes to collaborate in a defensive plan, please speak with me or Sir Sigmund. We will both be watching this entry.

[ooc: By discussion, he means amongst themselves, not specifically with him. Groups need to interact, after all. Feel free to jump threads and get your own threads going in here. Consider it a mass conversation. :|b Aaaand I'll be replying myself in a few hours.]

I believe the experiment is over now. And not a moment too soon; the practical jokes were going stale.

And there are still New Feathers arriving... Hm.

[For all intents and purposes, Albert shouldn't be outside of the house. He especially shouldn't be doing any sort of work that will strain his neck. And yet, he's crouched over a flowerbed with a listless expression, pulling weeds. Oh, how the mighty have fallen?]

[Albert is finally heeding his body's need for nourishment, going out to shop for groceries. He has a lot on his mind -- but really, when does he not?]
chikaidestroyer: (Dot dot dot)
This has been a rather boring passage of time. I can see why the others were eager to move on from this fort; there's not much here at all.

Noishe has been quiet since I began running a few experiments; he must not have--

[There some sounds of shifting in the sand, then boots on wood as Albert climbs a bit to higher ground.]

...Oh. Is that your group out there, Vyse? Welcome ba--

... ...

I think Noishe is running out to greet your group.
chikaidestroyer: (Decide In The Eyes)
Oh, for the love of--

Yuri Lowell. Vyse. Assemble your teams, on the double.

All residents, please refrain from putting yourselves into harm's way. Especially alone. We do not need to turn half the village into a rescue operation whenever new, controllable situations arise.

Flynn Scifo, I apologize for those who blatantly ignored your attempt at a public service announcement.

Added voice moments later:

I need materials to set up a safe way down into the sinkhole. Preferably a rope ladder.

A layered experiment, built upon over the days until it engulfs the entire village. I'm sure that residents will note that we haven't had something quite that elaborate in the past. The Malnosso were kind enough to reset buildings that were demolished or burned to the ground, as well as return those who were vampirized or killed.

Despite having a very effective form of communication linking every Filial here, we allowed the situation to devolve into an utter mess. It became a primal matter of survival, and instead of acting in groups, many acted alone -- and became victims (see Cloud Strife's entry and list).

I would like to ask everyone... Are you satisfied with how disorganized we are when faced with a crisis?

We have had protests against and calls for leadership in Luceti in the past. I am reopening the discussion in lieu of those who previously began them, since they are now missing from Luceti.

Your ideas. Your leaders. Let me hear of them. We have previously discussed a council to provide a form of structure, of government, who people can turn to. Some would rather have a single elected leader. Some have no interest in an established government at all.

To the latter, I once again direct your attention to Cloud Strife's entry. Those were only those who were bitten and turned. Think of those who were killed in the last experiment, or lost what the Malnosso will not replace.

Let me hear from you, Luceti.

Significant return of powers. Extension of the barrier. The return of infinite food supplies and other materials. New Feathers continuing to appear. Experiments.

The Malnosso must be confident in their ability to keep us contained with half of our powers diminished.

Ugh... Useless...

[There's the rasping of breath, the grating of dirt and small rocks as he unsteadily gets back to his feet.]

Can't be-- lieve... The... Nn.

Hate this ... place. So ... much.

Since I've just completed my project, I'd like to conduct a simple poll with the citizens of Luceti.

Would you use a calendar if one was standardized for the village?

I'm thinking of ways to distribute this list to those that showed early interested. From my research, I can say it's Monday, April 21. The most common names of weekdays and months are listed below -- those are what I used for standardizing the calendar for Luceti.

Days of the Week (7 to a week, 30/31/28 to a month, 365.25 to a year)
Sunday
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
Saturday

Months of the Year (12 to a year)
January (31 days)
February (29 days this "leap" year, 28 for next three years)
March (31 days)
April (30 days)
May (31 days)
June (30 days)
July (31 days)
August (31 days)
September (30 days)
October (30 days)
November (30 days)
December (31 days)

I-- it can't... Still dark...

chikaidestroyer: (Female)
Nnn... Ouch. This isn't my week for inju--

[A startled sound, and then a sigh.] I guess it had to happen sooner or later.

Hmph. ...I need a new pair of pants.

[ooc: From biseinen to bombshell? ...Okay, might be stretching that a bit. Albert's hair is a little longer covering that lovely forehead injury, and he she's very feminine -- filled out in all the right places, you know? *coughs*]
chikaidestroyer: (Heavenward gaze)
...It doesn't make sense. There was no warning this time.

Is this the new norm? Will they give us no warnings in the future?
