∞ 102: A varied existence [action]

Days 1-2 (May 26-27)

[With the exception of a rude teleportation happening while he was in the shower on the first day, Albert has fortunately dodged the beginning effects of a very random experiment. He'll use that time to observe the experiment as it unfolds.]

Day 3 (May 28)

[Part of the day is unfortunately spent wearing the infamous Opera Mask, which is he well-acquainted with after last Halloween. While he can resolutely try to refrain from speaking (read: singing) with the mask on, he can't exactly stop the desire to stalk and attempt to abduct young women. …Not that he has anywhere to abduct them to.]

Day 4 (May 29)

[Another bout of normalcy. Time to go about his normal business and make sure there aren't people teleporting into the house or stables.]

Days 5-9 (May 30-June 3)



[A young boy no older than 10 can be found playing in the forest near community building 7 or up in the playground behind the school. He's restless and finding various ways to entertain himself, trying to change up what he's doing whenever his current activity bores him.

He doesn't mind his situation, or that he had to scour for clothes that would fit him before heading out. In fact, the first morning he detoured to play in the forest in an oversized shirt before getting to the clothing store.

On the 31st, he can even be found jumping in water puddles while it rains heavily. He's just … having fun. Enjoying himself.

…Speaking to him, however, may be a little startling, as he seems to have retained all of his memories of Luceti in this form.]

Day 10 (June 4)



[When he awakens on this particular day, Albert faintly thinks that his body should probably ache from running around as a child for the last few days. He also thinks he should relish in the fact he had gotten to sleep again.

After all, when one has no breath or heartbeat or need for sustenance, it's easy to forget what it's like to sleep. Such is the life of the living dead.

He can be found in or around house 42 in the morning, making note of the various things he had observed but not written down as a child, as well as reflecting on the last time they had such an varied experiment. Then it's time to wander around town to take in more of the sights.]

Ah, I see. It looks like you're bringing a healthy snack with you as well. [So enthusiastic. At least it confirmed that it had gone on for longer than a day.

There's a meowing sound, as a certain cat makes her way into the kitchen. Her bedroom door must not have closed all the way.]

[Albert tilts his head when he sees the cat walk in. He's soon enough looking back over to Raine.]

It sounds like your cat is hungry, Raine.

[wise_maiden]

What? [A brief flash of confusion crosses her features, before a soft smile. A cat. Was this the first, then...? She walks over to give her a scritch behind the ears.]

Goodness. It is you, isn't it LIa? How irresponsible of me.

[He smiles as he watches, though his ears had picked up on something odd about the way Raine had spoken.]

You sound surprised to see her.

[wise_maiden]

It's been a long time. [The scritching goes on for a moment longer, until an impatient meow leads to a soft laugh, as she rises and turns toward the pantry.] All right, now just be patient.

[chikai]

If a long time is an evening, I suppose it has. [He watches as Raine moves closer to the pantry before collecting his sandwich and a paper towel.]

[wise_maiden]

It's been a lot longer for me than it has been for either of you. [She ends up taking her time in the pantry, a little unfamiliar with the contents, before finding the cat food and fresh bowl.] Although I don't remember you being quite so small.

[chikai]

[And that comment is all that it takes.]

Are you sure you remember things correctly at all?

[wise_maiden]

[She pours out the cat food, then sets down the bowl with a soft chuckle.] Who can say? From what I can tell, this is a time that's rather far back in the past for me, but it's not one I recall with clarity.

[chikai]

Ahhh, I see, some sort of memory progression. So many effects! [He nods in some sort of understanding, going to the faucet to get himself a glass of water.]

[wise_maiden]

Indeed. [She gives the cat another scritch before moving to put the food back away.] And how is your memory?

[chikai]

What do you mean? [He flashes her a smile as he turns off the faucet.] My memory is just fine.

[wise_maiden]

So you always remember being a young boy here?

[chikai]

Always? No. That would hardly make any sense.

[wise_maiden]

It certainly wouldn't. [And now that the cat's fed, she'll set about getting something light and easy for herself. A roll with butter, and maybe some lemon yogurt, if there is any.] You seem to be in good spirits about it.

[chikai]

[He's really shouldn't be encouraged to talk while he's trying to eat or drink. For now, he carries his breakfast to the kitchen island.]

Good Spirits? Did you want to go to the bar or something?

[wise_maiden]

It's a little too early in the day for that.

[chikai]

[He grins.] Then why did you mention it?
