I don't suppose anyone has measured just how deep the snow is now? There haven't been long enough breaks in the weather to allow the snow to melt significantly.

It had been an early worry this season that some residents may be snowed in with the very cold weather we've had. Hopefully everyone is being careful about keeping an eye out for New Feathers and returning abductees.

[Albert has been spending less time in the house lately, for a variety of reasons -- exploring the new community building next to the house, taking care of his horse with the snowing continuing to pile up, and other things exposing him to the elements.

Today, Albert is in the bar, tucked in one of the booths with his journal and some wine. Perhaps he's hoping to get another Kanakan bottle from the bartender. Or he just needs the din of noise to help him think. Or perhaps he's waiting for something to happen.

Later, he'll arrive back at his house in the dark, in the early evening.]

[That will get a raised brow from Albert. And he'll reply in voice, since that would be the best way to get Caesar's attention.]

Should I be immune to boredom?

Huh? [Oops. Good thing that was all he said, or this could have been a bit awkward.] No, no, I'm sure that you and boredom have a direct correlation. But something seems off today.

[Albert snorts dismissively.] Perhaps I should be the one wondering if you are "bored or something else."

Take a wild guess! But it might also be a genuine concern.

Concerned with my boredom? You probably need more sleep, Caesar.

I could go another hour or two without a nap, but that's not it. Is the weather really affecting you so badly?

I had mentioned something about the weather before. Did you not notice?

I don't pay attention to anything you write, Albert. Too much work. [Which obviously isn't true. He probably pays too much attention to what he does.] I just didn't think it'd put you in that kind of mood. That's all.

I see. Well, it did. [So clipped. This isn't something he wants to talk about on the journals.]

[He may or may not hear a huff as a result of that, then. Caesar's not sure what he was expecting out of this but that... definitely wasn't it. Well.]

[Albert is such a moody sonuva sometimes. He will move his journal off to one side of the table, but not reply.]
