∞ 74: A windy day [action]

[Despite the mild windiness today, Albert is sitting out on the porch of his house. He has a few notes and his journal with him, but he's mostly just out there to think and drink a little. The town meeting was just yesterday, and it certainly proved a few things he had surmised about the populace. There had been a few opinions he had heard that more clearly showed others' state of mind (some for the better, most for the worse), and he had to readjust those plans accordingly.

Now to think of the next course of action.]

[Not a lot, actually. He's just never sure how to react to enemies who aren't enemies but still probably enemies yet at the same time probably not and--- right. Though him being Caesar's brother and actually answering some questions of Hugo's before kind of lessens a lot of the possible hostility had Hugo met him a lot earlier.

Ah right, greeting.] Good afternoon. You're... Albert, right? [He nearly adds "Caesar's brother?", but decided against it.]

[He almost raises a brow at the question. The boy had been in the ceremonial site when he made his appearance.]

That's right. I am a bit surprised we have not met in person until now.

[Oh if only Hugo knew that, he'd be so confused.]

I guess we just normally don't visit the same places. [... Um...]

Enjoying the day?

I suppose that is quite likely. [He pauses at the question.]

It's a fair day for the season. And yourself?

I was just enjoying a walk.

[A pause. Well, it was as good an opportunity as any other, and Raine did say he should talk to him so...] I also wanted to talk to you about something.

[And so the truth comes out.]

And what is it you wish to talk about?

I was hoping to get an opinion about bringing in a suggestion box for the village.

I see. You aren't the first to bring up the suggestion.

Someone else mentioned it?

A Mr. Nash Clovis, yes. The idea has merit.

Oh, you know Nash.

It could certainly be helpful, and maybe we could actually get more people to voice out their thoughts this way.

Yes, that would be the hope if it was implemented. [He takes a sip of his wine.]

What are your thoughts on actually implementing it though?

[He pauses, then nods.] If it could help, I'm willing to try it.

[He will pause thoughtfully while he thinks about this.] Very well. I suppose the task is-- [simple enough] --a good responsibility for you.

[Blinks. Well, that was a little unexpected.] You'll allow me then?

If you are committed to the task, I see no reason not to. But you will be expected to be responsible for the box and its contents.

I'll make sure to take care of it.

I was just wondering though, if it'll be all right if I consult you or Miss Raine about the contents.
