∞ 74: A windy day [action]

[Despite the mild windiness today, Albert is sitting out on the porch of his house. He has a few notes and his journal with him, but he's mostly just out there to think and drink a little. The town meeting was just yesterday, and it certainly proved a few things he had surmised about the populace. There had been a few opinions he had heard that more clearly showed others' state of mind (some for the better, most for the worse), and he had to readjust those plans accordingly.

Now to think of the next course of action.]

[Lilly is returning home after her 'date' with Adell, so she'll likely be along a little later than everyone else. But before she can get into her home in C7, she can't help but notice him out there being extremely boring. And also drinking some wine. She turns to address him, hands on hips.]

I thought if the great Albert Silverberg went outside in the sun, he would be reduced to ashes.

[Albert's look is one of disinterest. ...As to be expected, where Lilly is concerned.] Isn't it refreshing to be able to dispel your own assumptions, Miss Pendragon?

It is. I'll be so much happier knowing that there isn't a heartless, bloodsucking vampire next door. Well, the vampire part anyways.

[He raises a brow, then lifts his glass.] You could dispel that assumption right now and see if I am drinking blood.

As a matter of fact, maybe I will. Do you have an extra glass?

Of course. [Albert leans forward slightly to a small basket next to the table. He sets another wine glass on the little table.]

[She walks up to the porch to join him and takes a seat across the table.] Feel free to start pouring at your convenience.

[And pour he shall. Less than half a glass.]

[And she takes a drink. What is she drinking? Is it really blood after all?]

[Only if she thinks Kanakan wine tastes like blood. In which case, she has terrible taste buds.]

[And she puts the glass down.] I didn't know they had Kanakan Wine here. Very nice. [Normally in this situation she would follow it up with "Tinto Wine is better", but that would be a damn, dirty, filthy lie.]

It hasn't been around very long. [He's a little amused by the pleased look on Lilly's face, but he doesn't let it show.]

[Oh Albert, didn't you realize? Lilly isn't here to troll you. She just wanted some of that wine. But she won't let that show. Or at least try not to. It's not like she's any good at hiding anything.] How sweet of the Malnosso to start providing it just for my sake.

Indeed, I'm sure the arrival of more people from our world gave them reason to provide some luxuries.

Perhaps they'll be convinced to provide even more later on. [Like Samus and Reed. Lilly doesn't feel any guilt at all about wanting them to arrive. So much not guilt she finishes off her glass.]

Perhaps. But do you want to be around long enough to see that happen? [Oh Lilly. Your manservants aren't luxury items.]

Not particularly, no. Which is why they should start providing this stuff in a hurry. [She holds out her glass. Refill?]
