Since I've just completed my project, I'd like to conduct a simple poll with the citizens of Luceti.

Would you use a calendar if one was standardized for the village?

I'm thinking of ways to distribute this list to those that showed early interested. From my research, I can say it's Monday, April 21. The most common names of weekdays and months are listed below -- those are what I used for standardizing the calendar for Luceti.

I'm an army strategist. Caesar is as well, but he's still training. I was employed by the most powerful country in our world before arriving here.

It seems a friend of yours -- Will, she said -- told her a Filial pregnancy is much shorter than a human pregnancy. She will have her baby in less than three standardized months.

Yes, I can see how that would be hard to imagine. But she said she's already feeling discomfort, and she shouldn't even feel the baby this early on.

...I don't think I'd be ready for this after nine months, much less three.

I'm sorry, Senel, but it seems you don't have much of a choice.

There's no way of telling. Our wings and powers are a result of complicated surgery, so in theory the baby should be human. But if Stella is going through the Filials' cycle of pregnancy ... it's likely the baby will be a Filial.

[ooc: I can just imagine Senel asking Kratos for child-rearing advise. :|]

The baby would've only been half-human anyway, and I don't know how that would have affected it even without being Filial on top of it. Ferines and Orerines don't usually have kids together. I'm a little surprised we can.

Stella mentioned that there were different races in your world, but ... both of you seem perfectly human-like. I would be surprised if you hadn't been able to father children with her.

[ooc: And he won't with Kratos?]

I wish more people thought that way, but... Well, humans aren't even really native to our planet.

[ooc: It's a different kind of emo... Kratos at least got to raise his kid for a while. And he thought Lloyd had died, while Will knew Harriet was there but couldn't go to her. D:]

I suppose I can see what you mean. My own world is inhabited by all types of races, from the Wingers to the elves to the dwarves to the ducks. But it isn't completely unheard of for interracial couplings, like humans and elves.

I guess it doesn't matter now. I'm... well, I'm just hoping the baby will have at least some Ferines traits. There's not really much chance of it being accepted by Stella's people, but there won't be a chance at all if it's completely human or... Filial.

I wasn't aware Stella had any of her people here. I would hope your child isn't completely Filial, because then it would be alarmingly clear that our own reason for being here is to procreate a new batch of specimens for the Malnosso.

Shirley, our sister, was here for a while... and there's also Walter. You probably haven't seen him because he's holed up somewhere away from all the humans.

Are your races really so different that his behavior is necessary? I've always found racial divides rather idiotic.

It's... pretty complicated. I feel the same way, but there's been a lot of bad past history between us. Ever since we showed up, humans have been taking over the Ferines' world and exploting them. I can't blame them for hating us, not really. Some people even... experimented on the Ferines just like the Malnosso do.

[ooc: Well, they revived them. Who says they have to go back to being dead?]

...I see. So it really sounds like it's your race that should be apologizing to theirs. But Stella doesn't seem to hold any animosity. Though I suppose she could be one to not hold a grudge.

[ooc: Guess we'll find out if they can ever leave Luceti. Which seems to be ... never.]

...It's pretty much only Stella and Shirley who don't dislike the Orerines. But things are getting better, or were when I left anyway. Still... they tried to get back at us by wiping out all the land on the planet, so they're not blameless, either. And aside from the Ferines themselves and my friends, nobody else even remembers the reason for fighting in the first place.

Quite extreme. One has to wonder if there are more worlds wrapped up in racial wars.

That Walter isn't one you have to worry about, is he? The one wiping out all the land on the planet?

He was part of it. He kept on forcing a fight, and... well, we had to kill him.

I don't think he's a danger to anyone like this, though. He's just lost.
