∞ 25: In interest of a calendar...

Since I've just completed my project, I'd like to conduct a simple poll with the citizens of Luceti.

Would you use a calendar if one was standardized for the village?

I'm thinking of ways to distribute this list to those that showed early interested. From my research, I can say it's Monday, April 21. The most common names of weekdays and months are listed below -- those are what I used for standardizing the calendar for Luceti.

That's exactly the type of attitude that kept the Filial from surviving in greater numbers. They lived for the day and never made future preparations, even when the Malnosso had descended upon them. They had nothing to hold on to, no reason to believe they had anything to look forward to.

From what I can tell, the Filial didn't have the knowledge or abilities to deal with a force like the Malnosso. We, however, all seem to come from worlds used to combat, and so this is a difficult but not truly incomprehensible situation. That might be a way to look at it, but ...

... truly, I believe people like us, who have never tasted real innocence, would be unable to comprehend their ways.

What indeed do we have to look forward to, beyond the faint hope that one day we may walk in our own worlds again?

There is always the hope that there will be someone among the new feathers that can bring new ideas to the table. What's important is that we're not stagnant, like the Filial were.

We also haven't explored our surroundings thoroughly, which is another plan I've been producing. We need to map what we have and note anything at our disposal. All we know is that the Malnosso have us under surveillance; there must be ways they are doing so, whether it be technology or magic seals. Knowing anything at all would be an improvement at this point.

There is that, I suppose. Lately, it seems they're more likely to bring new threats.

I am in the mountains as we speak; your housemate and I have been taking measure of the land and this barrier for the better part of a week, now. Their methods are so far unclear, but we hope to have more information before we return.
