That only means we have to work all the harder to push for things. Whatever the consequences of that may be.

At this point, consequences are of little meaning. Unless, of course, those here actually want to stay here.

Some do, as long as it is without the interference of the Malnosso. At least because of the circumstances of why they're here. If they're alive here, but were not alive previously in their own world ... it stays to reason that they'd want to be in a position to live the rest of their lives out. And those with loved ones in such a position naturally would want to stay, were another option not available.

As it stands, we don't know what will happen, but I believe we're all agreed that the current situation cannot be allowed to persist like this.

[Albert makes his way over to the schoolhouse with only his journal under one arm. He's wondering a bit why he agreed to meeting with Raine. Perhaps he needs to get out of his house once in awhile.]

Raine's already waiting for him outside, since she was nearby at the time. Her own journal is being held on top of some papers and a couple of books. She gives him a nod when she sees him]

[He nods back, giving the schoolhouse a cursory look before speaking.] No one is ever in here.

Hm. [She sighs a little] I feel bad for Miss Carol, to be honest. No one really came in here at all until I got here, and there's been little improvement on that front since then, I'm afraid.

In a world like this, I imagine there isn't much interest in pursuing an education. And who is here to enforce required schooling?

Half of the inhabitants here are young enough to still be in school, if they were raised in a more civilized environment.

There are very few I have been able to gather as possible students... and with all of the research and interruptions due to the Malnosso, I haven't even been teaching them as much as I could have.

Do you think you can actively pursue both researching and teaching in this environment, Professor?

It shouldn't be impossible.

You have my support if you wish to add some structure to civilians' lives here. It may help some people to see some sort of authority figure around, such as a teacher.

No, it should not. When I first arrived here, I had made it my first priority to make use of it's abilities. I can only hope a time can come when I can put forth the idea... with better results.

In the meantime there's still the research to consider.
