This has been a rather boring passage of time. I can see why the others were eager to move on from this fort; there's not much here at all.

Noishe has been quiet since I began running a few experiments; he must not have--

[There some sounds of shifting in the sand, then boots on wood as Albert climbs a bit to higher ground.]

...Oh. Is that your group out there, Vyse? Welcome ba--

[It's awhile before Albert makes his way down through the party, and he nods at Sheena as he approaches.]

Not sunburned in the least, Sheena?

I am a little. [but we thank the little fox who loves to ride atop her head if he can and block the sun] I'm tired out more than anything. ...I tried something for Mark and it didn't go that well.

...I wanna talk to you about something. [looks around quickly with only her eyes] It kinda involves Raine. But we can talk later if you want.

The experiment he attempted? You will have to tell me about that sometime.

[He watches Sheena's eyes, his expression not changing.] We can talk now, since we are waiting for Yuan to return.

I can tell you about that now too, if you want.

...[looks around again, then lowers her voice] She wore herself out to the point of collapse. Did you know that already?

Yes, I would like to hear about that as well.

[He frowns at this bit of news.] ...I had a feeling, but you've certainly confirmed it. You were forced to carry her back?

He asked me to try to get water from the air, instead of using whatever might've been underground. ...I kinda passed out. He was right, the air got too thin to handle. [but as evidence she does have a half-full canteen of the stuff]

Well, not me personally, but yeah, for a lot of the way back. Plus she's hurt, and won't tell anyone about it. ...And I'll probably be in trouble for saying that, but right now it doesn't matter.

...I had a feeling that would be the case; I do not see why Mark saw fit to have you experiment something that could have led to your death.

I appreciate you telling me of this. It sounds as if the Professor was acting strangely for quite awhile.

It was my choice to do it. I kinda wanted to know, too. And I'm okay now.

...And we're all sorta used to Raine getting like that when ruins and stuff are involved.

You did not do this experiment alone, did you? Or perhaps Corrine had to find help afterwards?

You may be used to it, but you are still out in the middle of the unknown with limited supplies. That was a dangerous situation that could have been avoided if the Professor didn't act that way.

Corrine was there, yeah. [but we'll say no one went to get help, she just kind of woke up on her own. And may have first made sure that no one was around to watch her do this]

...Sometimes I kinda think she can't control it.

[He frowns at the clever deflection of both questions, but decides to leave it be. Corrine would keep an eye on Sheena.] You tried summoning out here, then?

If it is something she cannot control, it's even more important that she doesn't hide it.

No, it was with Filial spirits. That was a big part of it...and using them is way more exhausting than using magic. ...But when we first started, I did have enough energy to summon one thing if I'd wanted.

...I don't know if she can or not. She doesn't try to stop herself...but I know she's got her reasons for being so obsessed.

But now you don't have the energy to summon? [He would much rather avoid using the Filial spirits simply because of his own experiences with how draining summoning them is, so he will trust Sheena's report.] Do you have any idea why he would wish you experiment?

Nonetheless, all of you were bent to her whims while she was in that state.

Maybe to figure out if we really could pull water from the air? [shrug] And yeah, I'm not up to summoning now. We've been doing too much with not a lotta supplies.

...You're kinda being a lot more serious about this than I thought, Albert.

...Should I not be serious about this matter, Sheena? You haven't given me any reason to think that this couldn't have become a problem. The Professor had to faint before you could leave.

I dunno, I guess we just kind of get it and go with it. I know we wouldn't have let it get so out of hand as to be a real problem.

There is no telling what the Malnosso could have done to your group in these conditions, Sheena. If the fainting of a companion from sheer exhaustion isn't a liable concern, I would hate to see what is considered one.

...Obviously we were concerned, Albert. [look out, he's making her mad] I get why you're so bothered, okay? And it doesn't help that she's hiding being hurt from all of us, either.

Then you know exactly what I intend to do with the information you've just passed on to me.

You're probably gonna tell her I said it. ...Big deal. I knew I was in trouble when I started this conversation. [looks away] It matters more that someone can get Raine to take care of herself.

I can refrain from mentioning you by name if you wish, Sheena. I am not looking to get you 'in trouble' with the Professor. But we are in agreement that something needs to be done.

She'll probably know anyway. I'm the only one who'd tell you about it.

...The others wouldn't have mentioned it?

Kratos would notice but not tell anyone else if Raine didn't want him to. And I dunno if Lloyd spent enough time around her to notice. ...Zelos might've said something. But it's usually smart just to leave Raine to herself.

I'm afraid I'm not very well acquainted with Mr. Wilder -- in a positive sense, that is. If the Professor is prone to these episodes ... has she collapsed on you before?
