[Albert looks down at himself, a little surprised by what had just happened.]

I'm ... fine. [Wow. Wow. His brain is still catching up and reprocessing all of the things he had said in that other form. So this would be one of those experiments where they revert back and forth between forms?

But let's process the situation at hand. Again.] ...You're a mermaid, Professor. Mermaids, if myths are to be believed, do need water to live in.

[Him changing back and putting the topic back to the original one have combined for a rather distressing set of thoughts.]

I can't just go live in water. If this is something that -- I -- no.

[He sighs. Does he really have to do the thinking for the both of them?]

You have the option of going into a nearby river or living in the bathtub, Professor.

[She twitches at that. But at least there seems to be a doable option. Seems.] The ... bathtub.

Then we'll have to ... do something about this, then. [He's still a little disoriented from the sudden physical and mental change, but he, uh, tries to give Raine some of her clothes to be a little more presentable.

[It's kind of hard to dress yourself when you can barely pick yourself up from the floor and your strength is waning. So she'd need help with those articles of clothing.]

S-so it... seems.

[It's going to be an awkward dressing session, then. :| It's probably for the best that Albert changed back, since he can lift her a little better in this form.]

[Maybe her bathing suit top would be better... not that she's especially considering that about now. Raine's too busy trying to calm herself down a little, especially now that she can tell her body is crying out for water. It's not especially working very well.

She'll try not to squirm too much when he lifts her, either. Fishy tail is... fishy. And in need of moisture.]

[Raine actually has a bathing suit? Albert grimaces as he starts carrying Raine through the house; one arm is feeling the flesh of her lower back, while the other is exposed to the ... strange textures of her scaled lower half. It's a very disconcerting feeling.

He makes it to the hallway with bedrooms, finding he has to adjust the way he's moving so Raine's tail doesn't smack into the wall.]

I never thought I would do something like this. [He muses aloud.]

[Not like she bought it herself, or anything. In any case she'll have to make the attempt to console herself that it could always be worse. Even as she twitches, attempting to adjust to the body. It's not working very well.]

It's not something that happens every day.

Indeed. And you certainly can't remain in the bathtub for an entire week... [He continues to contemplate the situation, pausing to use his foot to open the door to the bathroom.]

Because it's a bathtub, Professor. [He gives her that look while still carrying her.]

[He doesn't really want to find out if the bathroom will have a fishy smell with Raine in it... He slowly heads towards the bathtub to deposit Raine for now--]

[--only to collapse under her weight as he abruptly loses more than half a foot in height.]

[... Well. That was startling. She can't help but be relieved that she didn't end up completely on the floor.]

[He groans a little, wings twitching underneath him as he attempts to sit up a little.]

[He then collapses right back onto the floor, shutting his eyes.]

[Oh come on, she's not that heavy. Well. The tail might be. She twitches a bit.]

Ca -- Albert. Albert wake up.

... [Reaches her arm up to smack at his face, he can't fall asleep on the job now.] Albert.
