His death was expected. I can't help but wonder if the environment quickened or slowed his death in any way; certainly the extraction method was different, but the deterioration afterward...

He will return. He was doubtful of it, but I'm sure he will return. How they stabilize his body without the Rune is another matter.

It likely has to do with a number of factors, though I'm ... uncertain as to how to put a name to them.

I suppose one of them is ... I've been having more recollections lately. Not just in those little flashes... some come in dreams, or when I'm not really paying attention to things. Some of them... match up with a few notes I found in my room.

Most of the time... it's as if they belong to someone else. I can recall them... but it doesn't feel connected to me.

Give it time. If you are actually recalling events, then it's only a matter of time before your memory is back to normal.

That's the only thing I can do, really. It makes me wonder if I should be doing more, instead of just waiting for it.

I suppose that is a foolish thought.

If you can think of any ways that may stimulate further memory, I believe you should explore them. But there really isn't much you can be doing that would help; your routine is mostly centered upon your teaching and research.

... I'll have to think of something. Though it would seem that under "ordinary" circumstances, I wouldn't have this much time on my hands.
