My thanks to those who answered Mr. Belmont's survey about practical skills. Knowing who has knowledge about certain skills will be helpful should there be situations where we need residents' specialties. I hope those who have volunteered information will remain open to the prospect of teaching or aiding others should the opportunity arise.

We're approaching the end of the calendar year, and with it the beginning of another New Feather cycle. Everyone remain alert for newcomers who arrive in this weather.

I had heard about that as well. Perhaps some Malnosso are allowing this because of the colder weather.

It wasn't a problem. Is there much call for a cartographer in Luceti, though? I get the impression the maps are pretty much taken care of.

The maps made have actually been done by amateur cartographers, and some guesswork in some particularly remote places, like the mountains and the desert. I'm sure you can imagine why that is.

While there are undoubtedly different versions of the Luceti map around, made by different residents, we haven't had an actual cartographer to request a full, official map from. [Raine has basic maps in the guide, I believe Karol has made a more detailed map for Brave Vesperia, and Albert has his own -- but everything he's said remains true.]

[dryly] It had actually been an earlier project of mine, to make a map or find a cartographer capable of making a detailed one. Coordinates, depths, comments on terrain. Accurate maps are quite important in my profession.

It would be a long-term project, but I suppose you're used to it as a sailor.

I'm completely open to teaching what I know, and learning from others. This is a good idea, if the list can be frequently updated.

Mr. Belmont has shown interest in maintaining the list, and I will certainly speak with him about how he intends to update it.

And the teachers at the school will likely appreciate the help. Learning practical skills like first aid would be quite constructive.
