∞ 102: A varied existence [action]

Days 1-2 (May 26-27)

[With the exception of a rude teleportation happening while he was in the shower on the first day, Albert has fortunately dodged the beginning effects of a very random experiment. He'll use that time to observe the experiment as it unfolds.]

Day 3 (May 28)

[Part of the day is unfortunately spent wearing the infamous Opera Mask, which is he well-acquainted with after last Halloween. While he can resolutely try to refrain from speaking (read: singing) with the mask on, he can't exactly stop the desire to stalk and attempt to abduct young women. …Not that he has anywhere to abduct them to.]

Day 4 (May 29)

[Another bout of normalcy. Time to go about his normal business and make sure there aren't people teleporting into the house or stables.]

Days 5-9 (May 30-June 3)



[A young boy no older than 10 can be found playing in the forest near community building 7 or up in the playground behind the school. He's restless and finding various ways to entertain himself, trying to change up what he's doing whenever his current activity bores him.

He doesn't mind his situation, or that he had to scour for clothes that would fit him before heading out. In fact, the first morning he detoured to play in the forest in an oversized shirt before getting to the clothing store.

On the 31st, he can even be found jumping in water puddles while it rains heavily. He's just … having fun. Enjoying himself.

…Speaking to him, however, may be a little startling, as he seems to have retained all of his memories of Luceti in this form.]

Day 10 (June 4)



[When he awakens on this particular day, Albert faintly thinks that his body should probably ache from running around as a child for the last few days. He also thinks he should relish in the fact he had gotten to sleep again.

After all, when one has no breath or heartbeat or need for sustenance, it's easy to forget what it's like to sleep. Such is the life of the living dead.

He can be found in or around house 42 in the morning, making note of the various things he had observed but not written down as a child, as well as reflecting on the last time they had such an varied experiment. Then it's time to wander around town to take in more of the sights.]

[Albert eventually emerges again, dressed in some shorts that fit and ... another oversized shirt. He walks into the kitchen with purpose -- to get a glass of wine.]

[Once the food has been warmed up again, Caesar takes a seat in the kitchen, serving himself some food and starting to eat just as Albert enters the kitchen. He looks up, taking note of his clean attire, and frowns.

He doesn't figure out what Albert's intentions are just yet.]

Did you even look at your clothes before you put them on?

[chikai]

Of course I did! [He sounds somewhat offended by the question.] Those shirts are for when I'm outside.

[He proceeds to climb up onto the countertop to get himself a glass.]

[mydearapple]

[Well, that's a surprise. Caesar doesn't say anything else about it for now, though, focusing on what his brother's doing instead.]

Did you need help?

[chikai]

[Albert blinks at Caesar, as he's already climbed up onto the counter and is kneeling in front of the glasses.]

I might have, a minute ago. [He gets a glass and carefully climbs down again.] You cooked dinner?

[mydearapple]

Of course I did. It's not like there was anything else to do around here. Unlike you, I didn't feel like playing all day.

[chikai]

What a shame. But I suppose that means you weren't anymore productive than usual. [He smiles at Caesar, turning away to retrieve the bottle of Kanakan wine he kept in the kitchen.]

[mydearapple]

You don't have to eat if you don't want to. [Jerk! He realizes what Albert is doing now, though, when he goes to retrieve the wine.] What are you doing?

[chikai]

Getting ready for dinner! [He's so nonchalant about what he's doing, hugging the wine bottle to his chest as he goes back to get the glass he'd left on the counter.] What does it look like?

[mydearapple]

[...that is the strangest thing to see, a kid Albert's current age hugging a bottle of wine.]

Kids aren't supposed to drink that stuff.

[chikai]

[Albert makes a face.]

You're saying I can't have wine because I look like this?

[mydearapple]

What kind of question is that? [He shouldn't even have to ask!] Of course I am. I don't think you'd be able to handle it at all like that.

[chikai]

I don't drink until I'm inebriated! You're just trying to get back at me because I didn't come back for lunch!

[This is totally the logical reasoning of a man in his late twenties.]

[mydearapple]

[...what.]

This has nothing to do with that. You're a kid and kids shouldn't drink stuff like that. It's simple.

[chikai]

[He's trying not to get fussy. Really.] It's temporary. Or did you forget that?

[mydearapple]

That means that temporarily, you shouldn't drink. Isn't that obvious? You would be lucky if you could handle a sip!

[chikai]

[Not going to get fussy. Not going to get fussy.]

Fine. [He puts the wine bottle on the counter space closest to him, followed by the glass. Once he's done, he marches over to the kitchen table and sits down silently.]

[mydearapple]

[He watches as Albert puts the wine and glass down, then sits over at the table. He almost feels bad for him...

Almost.]

You can have something else to drink, you know.

[chikai]

I'm fine. [He kicks his feet restlessly, as if that will expend the energy pent up in him at the moment.] Let's just eat. Hurry up.

[mydearapple]

Do you want me to serve you, too?

[...well, he supposes that wouldn't be any trouble, but considering how he went for that glass...!]

[chikai]

[There's just a stony silence in reply. Albert petulantly debates going to bed without dinner.]

[mydearapple]

[...what the heck. Was he really that upset about the wine? Either way, Caesar stands up, reaching for the plate in front of his brother. Whatever the reason his brother was being stubborn, he still needed to eat, so fine, he'll quietly serve him his food.]

[chikai]

[Albert starts eating as soon as Caesar's hand moves away, and he mutters a quiet 'thank you' -- maybe more out of reflex than anything -- after a few bites.]

[mydearapple]

[Well, that's better than nothing. Caesar doesn't sit down just yet, though. He steps away from the table to get another glass. He decides to pour some soda for Albert.

...there was just no way he could let him drink wine!]

[chikai]

[Albert's brows knit together as he looks over at Caesar, but he stubbornly returns his attention to his meal without asking what his brother is doing. After all, Caesar could just be getting himself a drink.]
