Welcome to all the New Feathers of this cycle. I am sure that residents, especially the volunteers working in the Welcome Center, have been helpful as you adjust to your surroundings.

Some may have noticed that there are stations some distance away from the village -- watch stations where New Feathers may find clothing or shelter. Residents may also use them as stopping points as they explore the surrounding forests and plains. They are maintained by a group of volunteers, which has been without a head organizer for a few months now. If anyone is interested in taking on this responsibility, please speak with me, Albert Silverberg.

Recent additions to the enclosure are the expansive farmlands to the northeast of the village. There are numbers of farm animals and growing crops up there that are in need of caretaking. While the village has the grocery store for easy access to food, I am sure some would relish opportunity to work with crops and animals.

If there are any questions about these subjects, they may be asked here. Thank you.

[Around noon, Albert may be found in the clothing store, looking for clothing for warmer weather. Maybe he'll attempt to tan this year. It's been awhile.

Later in the day, he will be in the stables tending to his horse. He will be out there for several hours before retiring for the evening to the house, reading a "Computers for Seniors for Dummies" book. Very funny, Bil.]

[Albert looks over at the prince, observing him and the fact that he is currently alone before approaching.] Good afternoon, Prince.

Good afternoon, Albert. [Smiling a bit.] How are you today?

I am well, thank you. [He looks at the top that Frey is looking at, but the subject isn't on that matter at all.] How is the princess settling in?

That is good to hear. [He puts down the top as he turns and faces Albert.] She's doing well.

[Well enough he felt it was ok to leave her alone for an hour or so while he looked for clothes. He was also keeping an eye out for things Lym might like.]

[He nods in approval, moving over to look at another rack of clothing.] This must have been the most ... exciting New Feather cycle for you in awhile.

It has been. It's been a very long time, since I saw her. [Musing to himself with a smile as he looks through his own rack of clothing.]

And besides Lym, Another colleague from home arrived.

[Albert raises a brow at this.] Another colleague? From your army? [As opposed to the royal family or Queen's Knights.]

Yes. His name is Roy. [And they are not related, no.]

[The short answer is a bit odd. No title, no description of duties?] A civilian volunteer?

...Sort of. We helped him out after he made a mistake and he in turn enlisted to help out. [Vague. He wasn't sure if Roy's work would have even been known by those outside the army, considering it's nature.]

To help out? Does he fight in your army then, or support from behind the lines?

He fought. [Erp. Why so curious, Albert?]

[He simply nods, looking over a shirt. Perhaps he's exhausted that topic?]

[Albert might have on his end.... but Frey remembers something he'd decided to ask after some coaxing from Lilly.]

Albert? Might I ask a personal question?

A personal question, Prince? I suppose.

Miss Pendragon mentioned she knew Caesar, and I asked her if she knew you, as well. She told me it would be better to ask you about it.

[Well, more like challenged him.] Were you part of the Fire Bringer, as well?

[He raises a brow at the question. That was rather surprising, that Lilly would leave it to him to explain.]

No, I was not. I am employed by Holy Harmonia.

Harmonia.....? [.....Oh.] Lilly mentioned she had met you once, so I thought you would have been involved.

Involved in the Fire Bringer? Certainly not. When I met Miss Pendragon, we were on opposite sides of the war.

On..... [What. But Caesar....]

You fought against your brother?

In our profession, the possibility always exists.

I see..... You are right. [......It still didn't sit well with him.]

[Albert allows a prolonged silence following his response, his eyes remaining on the clothing racks.]

Did you have any other personal questions?

....No. [Awkward. He wasn't expecting such an answer, and now felt horrible for asking.]

Thank you for telling me.

[He looks over at Frey when he expresses his thanks.] Some things are best left in the past. Caesar and I understand what happened then has no bearing on what we do here. Expectations, motives, allegiances -- they all changed when we entered Luceti.

It would be best to remember that.
