∞ 25: In interest of a calendar...
Since I've just completed my project, I'd like to conduct a simple poll with the citizens of Luceti.
Would you use a calendar if one was standardized for the village?
I'm thinking of ways to distribute this list to those that showed early interested. From my research, I can say it's Monday, April 21. The most common names of weekdays and months are listed below -- those are what I used for standardizing the calendar for Luceti.
Days of the Week (7 to a week, 30/31/28 to a month, 365.25 to a year)
Sunday
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
Saturday
Months of the Year (12 to a year)
January (31 days)
February (29 days this "leap" year, 28 for next three years)
March (31 days)
April (30 days)
May (31 days)
June (30 days)
July (31 days)
August (31 days)
September (30 days)
October (30 days)
November (30 days)
December (31 days)

And there's something I need to tell you about the pregnancy...

Hm? Is there a problem?

Not necessarily a problem, but something that makes this a little... overwhelming. Normal pregnancies in my world last for about nine months, but according to Will, a Filial one is only three months long. It's compared to a normal pregnancy, only each month is equal to around ten days. Filial childbirth seems to be very... accelerated here.

It would certainly be convenient to have everyone know for sure what day it is. Curiously, is this the most commonly used calendar between us all, or a particularly easy one to deal with (?) from a particular world?
no subject
It's the most commonly-used calendar that I've found, based on the worlds most have come from. Quite a few people originate from a country called "Japan," and that country uses the seven-day week.

Aa, I figured it was something like that. It's strange, how so many come from the same place, but from such different histories -- with the exception of those who know each other from their worlds, it's like those Japans are all very different. I'm surprised situations like having two Kamuis aren't happening more often.

Considering I myself have been here for half a year now, I'm finding a calendar has become a necessity.

Well, I'd use it. But it's not any different from the one we had at home.

Stella also showed interest in using one.

It would certainly help with her pregnancy.

...Did she tell you, or did you figure it out on your own?

I...guess I can get used to it.

Perhaps we could set up an observatory. Eventually we could probably figure out some things about this place. There is stars out there, but they're hardly the same as they were in my world. Yet the day seems around the same length as in mine, which would lead me to guess that the planet is about the same size. The year seems to follow the same course as in my world, which would lead me to other conclusions about the sun and the planet spinning around it. What this means, I do not know. At least it possibly could tell us that this place is a lot bigger than what we see here, perhaps this is not the only village around here. Or perhaps the flow of the time is as artificial as our wings. Virtual reality is an option I could think of. Especially if considering every little detail I've gathered this far. It's very far fetched, but possible to find a loop if we'll set up an observatory. Ah, well... This is me blabbering again. I apologize.
It seems like the one we used in Earth, calendar of yours. If it'd be easier for people to remember it, maybe we could give the days numbers as well, Monday first and Tuesday second and so on.
