∞ 54: Gardening [action]

[For all intents and purposes, Albert shouldn't be outside of the house. He especially shouldn't be doing any sort of work that will strain his neck. And yet, he's crouched over a flowerbed with a listless expression, pulling weeds. Oh, how the mighty have fallen?]

[pulling weeds, just like you're doing. This is her way of letting bygones be bygones and getting over how angry she still was about Raine moving out. Plus this way Albert expends less energy and gets in less trouble]

[Albert dusts at his hands, sighing deeply, contemplatively. He coughs.]

Sorry if you didn't want the help.

[chikaidestroyer]

[He shakes his head, then gestures at Sheena. He raises a brow questioningly.]

[corrinesbell]

I just got back from patrolling and you kinda looked like you could use a hand. ...Plus then Raine won't freak out so much if she shows up.

Still can't talk, huh?

[chikaidestroyer]

[Albert frowns slightly at the explanation, tilting his head up as if trying to see into the house windows.] Can. ...Hurts.

[corrinesbell]

Oh. So don't, then. No point in making it hurt for nothing.

[he'll just have to take the explanation for what it is]

[chikaidestroyer]

[He coughs and clears his throat, pressing his knuckles to his neck briefly to massage it. He really shouldn't have done that.

There's a brief hesitance following, but he reaches out and pats Sheena's shoulder.]

...Huh? [looking expectant, waiting for him to try to say something. She's decent at interpreting. Colette was silent for a while, after all] What's up?

[and she heard that cough. If it happens again she's doing something about it]

[He shakes his head; there's no question or anything like that. He just moves his lips silently. "Thanks."]

[corrinesbell]

Oh. You're welcome, no problem.

...Genis said something about how Raine's been feeding you stuff. I'm surprised you're looking this good if that's true.

[chikaidestroyer]

[Albert all but rolls his eyes in response. It's really too bad he can't go into detail about the stuff Raine had been "testing" on him. Thankfully, Genis has been around to sneak him some other food.]

[corrinesbell]

[he gives off the Raine-in-the-kitchen vibe though]

If you want me to get or make you anything edible...uh, write it down or something. When Raine gets cooking ideas it's hard to stop her. Or the lemons.

[chikaidestroyer]

["Or combinations of everything." It's a lot of syllables that can be mixed up without a voice behind them, but he presumes Sheena has some practice with reading lips. He nods though; maybe Sheena could sneak something to his window when Genis can't get broth from the kitchen to his room without Raine noticing.]

[oh, she got that one, and she has to stop pulling weeds to laugh about it. But sitting down in the dirt doesn't bother her either]

I can get you something right now if you want. Raine's not home?

[chikaidestroyer]

[Albert again tilts his head up and back; it's the most comfortable position for his neck, and it also allows him to look at the windows again. He shuts his asleep and imitates 'someone' falling asleep.]

Oh. Better be careful, she's a light sleeper when she wants to be.

Still, I could make you tea or something.

Wow, that was a fail typo on my part. *smacks self* XD

[chikaidestroyer]

["Tea." He looks contemplative, then slowly nods. It would be a nice change from broth and Raine's protein drinks. "Need to keep hydrated."]

Aww, we've all done it~

Okay. You guys probably have some, but now that I think about it...a while ago I learned to make a tea that'd help with pain. Want me to go get that?

[chikaidestroyer]

[He's reminded of the medicinal (that is, drugged) tea that Caesar had given him ages ago. He hadn't been able to find the tea when he looked for it, so... Hm. It would be best if he accepts. He nods again, carefully.]

[corrinesbell]

Promise it won't knock you out or anything. The guy who taught me to make it isn't here anymore, either.

[and she will head to her house to get it. The rooftop way. So much faster.]

[chikaidestroyer]

[This somehow amuses Albert. He lifts his head to watch Sheena leave, smiling wryly.]

[give her ten minutes or so and she's back with the ingredients for tea]

Sorry I took so long. Get any more weeding done?

[chikaidestroyer]

[Albert gestures to the steadily-growing pile of weeds, then claps his hands together and stands up. He tilts his head slightly to get a better look at what Sheena is carrying.]

[it's a bag you can't see through. Sorry Albert. Going inside to take over your kitchen now]
